The wiki entry states that Bandai is the parent compsnynfor
Chogokin, not its competitor.

Chogokin seems like another pretty awesome toy. Japan has so many different mecha products...how does one keep up???

Chogokin is a different market segment altogether. There are not a lot of collectors who are willing to fork out serious cash for a collectible that is almost entirely metal.

Yamato (the company behind the metal SL) has also been producing metal collectibles in the Macross line (variable fighters) for some time.

@Lionel: 13 Go-bots and a Lego Star Destroyer?

"Why can't we have nice things?!" *looks at empty wallet, and sobs

Now I didnt get a Zoid like my brother said he got, but I did get the 7-11 HG Zaku II Char on the 1st night of Hanukah from him! While I built most of my brother's HG's, this is my very 1st HG kit that i own. My others are some of the NG/FG kits, and an SD. Not only did I have the atention span to panel line the entire thing with my brand new gray marker, but I actualy believe I did a good job this time. I love this kit, and I hope to get its 7-11 Gundam RX-78-2 counterpart some day!

When i find my camera, ill post some pics! Only bad news is that the MG on my nice new Zaku broke in 2 places; on the scope and on the movable handel. I am sure that if I get a good enough glue and dont screw around with it further, I can fix the scope. But because the movable handel broke at the joint, I am not sure I can fix that part unless I want it fixed in place. I was disapointed that both the bazooka holder and the axe (heat hawk) arent the best designs, and they tend to fall off way to easily. As of right now, the broken bits, the extra hands, bazooka, and the axe and axe holder are all back in the box until I figure out what the helll I am doing. The wrists and some of the joints tend to be loose but they dont fall off so that is good atleast. I didnt mess u[p to bad with the stickers, haha, so all in all, I am in love with japanese 7-11s, gunplas, and now the Zaku II design. Its simple and just oh so awesome =D

My brother got himself a HG delta Plus gundam, so building taht looks like alot of fun! =D

My view: All of the Sangokuden kits are molded in some crap color plastic that must be painted or it will look real ugly.

How I wished they would have made them in the same way like those from the regular SD line, which featured pretty much decent plastic color and quality.

I bought a Sonshokou Gerbera SD aka Sun Shang Xiang from BHG a few days ago, and at least it didn't give me the typical feel of a Sangokuden kit. Could not find Shuuyu Hyakushiki there so I was disappointed. I would have gladly bought the Shuuyu just to paint it.

Nice SCAR! I'd love to be able to play airsoft over here in Australia =[, had a collection back in Vietnam, but only cheap as versions spring loaded, none on gas or electric

Och! Ain't that the "ugly" truth about all SD Gundam kits I say they require MORE work than 1/144 kits to look good.

Side note: long time no see stormhawk!

Yesterday, picked up 1/144 scale Duel Gundam, Strike Gundam, and something called "The Robot Spirit" Gadess Gundam Special Color. I have no idea what this line is, but it appeears to be alot like Revoltech. Should I keep it MIB though? I really like the design of this one. It is very unique comapred to Gundams I have seen so far

My brother picked up a comic book (I think it was a "New 52nd Justice League Volume 4") as well as another 00 Raiser variant from the HG line. (dont rememeber which variant but it is different from his current one) He is happy, as his current variant of the Raiser Gundam is missing a few hand components, as well as having a broken sword

Edit: His new variant is the Condenser type

Well, I've picked up a few items for my SCAR.

I've so far got two sights (one of which went missing). I got a VISM green-dot sight with built-in red-dot laser and I also got an NcStar red-dot sight (forgot the name). Also got a new, non-plastic front-grip. I'm getting a rail-riser later (as the scope was to small and I can't aim down the sight without it being raised), and an under-barrel grenade launcher.

I also finally got a side-arm, a Berreta "Elite II", basically a Co2 powered, non-blockback M9. I'll upload some pictures later.

Unusual but i bought me in a 1 Euro Store a Harmonica Kit with blues harmonica in C, big book how to learn play and a lot of songs and storage box for the hamonica for only 2 Euro !!
After i did try out i was so impressed by the quality of the hamonica i went back a few days later and bought another 4 kits ( sold out ).

I must say its really easy to learn and much fun to play and your friends get big eyes when u get out the harmonica and start to play.

Damn and all that fun for only 2 Euro, looked at dealextreme the cheapest similar harmonica would cost 5 Euro there.

Other then that i bought me a Fritzbox 7390 a well known brand and very common Router ( has 60% market here ). Great stuff everything is included and many featurs and possibilitys. Also they improve them always and u get the updates free.
This thing can handle 6 DECT phones, has 1 ISDN bus, 2 analoge phone plug ins TAE and another 2 analoge plugins RJ10. Can handle you landside phone connection and also Voip and mixes em also. You can also download apps for Android and iOS to make phonecalls over Wifi with your landside or voip connections over the box or call some of the dect or connected ISDN and analoge phones.
Has a Fax2mail build in, a NAS, VPN, can do ADSL+ and VDSL, 4 times Gigabit LAN, Wifi with 2,1 and 5 GHz wifi n operated at the same time and much more.

Other then that a lot new DVDs and BDs.

My last 2 Hot Toys purchases where already some time ago DX Jack Sparrow and Classic predator.

My latest non-Zoid purchase:

2012 Toyota Camry SE. With the Sport and Track packages added. Along with the 17 inch XLE rims. Loving the dark grey metallic. Funny how this car is almost as nice as my 20 year old Supra, luxury and interior gadgetry wise. Paid well under MSRP for it too, boy was working with those salesmen fun. >.>

I'm loving the car though, even if it means I won't be able to afford any HMMs this year. It's a nice big toy. :P

Found this guy at my grandparent's house-- my dad told me to just take him, so I did!

1984 Megatron, missing all the additional gun pieces though. May track those parts down on ebay. If I can just get the scope I'd be pretty happy. He's really nifty! There is also a Dinobots Snarl that I loved playing with when I was little, but I couldn't find him anywhere ): I fear he may be lost in the hoard somewhere, the entire house is a hoarder house. So sad.

I never really liked Transformers, since I'm not a robot fan (robot ANIMALS are okay though, obviously), but I was a big fan of Beast Wars and had myself an Airazor way back when. Getting Megatron made me miss my old Airazor, so I went ahead and got a new one on Ebay. Can't wait to get her!
