Hello;
I've seen a Zoids Encyclopedia (10th anniversary) advertised with a limited edition DVD. I've also seen a limited edition DVD advertised with 10th anniversary zoids (Shield Liger), and was just wondering if this DVD is the same one?

I don't believe it is, there is also a DVD with the Anime edition Kong, and as far as I know they are all different.
I recently sent a copy of the Encyclopedia to Tilly, maybe she can answer the question for you.

The one that comes with the Kong is about ten minutes and mostly clips that feature Schwarz and his Kong.

It's not the same one as in the models, I figure, since it's got the Bladey and no mention of the Shield Liger.
Basically, it goes on about the Liger and Bang Freiheit a bit, then has clips from all the episodes the Bladey appeared in set to music. This is actually a bit better than I expected as whoever did the cutting has a sense of rythem and timing, so the clips actually sync up decently. However, there's no new footage. I might upload a kinda crap encode of it if anyone's really curious, for right now I'm trying to figure out how to deinterlace it decently >_>.

Thanks a lot everyone for the feedback. I've just been debating between the DVD/Encyclopedia and the Shieldy/DVD. I'll still have to think about it a bit more, though. Is the content that includes promotional posters (oh god I've seen the raven one, I'm pretty sure-) decent? Or are they tiny thumbnail size? And how numerous are these? (I mean, there've been a good few images to be used on zoids products, so I'm curious if they only have a couple in the entire book, or what)

They're mostly small, unfortunately D:. The My Best Friends Are My Hands Raven one is big, though. There's a couple other full page CC/GF ones, some half page /Zero ones, a collage of CC stuff (my favorite is the early ad for the anime with a little kid looking up at a CG Shieldy) and Fuzors and Genesis get like, a quarter page each.

That's actually not so bad. It may not be a ton of new stuff, but I still hope to pick it up. From the sounds of it, I think I'll go for the Encyclopedia first. Thanks so much for all the answers on it. It helps a lot.
Just one more question, I swear- and although very unrelated; I was wondering if the magazine-style booklets in the Zoids Graphics kits are the same? And is there one in -all- of the Zoids Graphics kits? I just got a Lidier, and found the books to be quite awesome. (I wasn't sure if I should create a whole new thread for that one question or not, so just thought I'd ask here- hope that's alright)

Unless I'm remembering badly, yes, they all do. The early kits have rehashed Zoids Bible material instead of new/Rebirth Century stuff for the story portions, but if you don't already have the Zoids Bible that'll be less vexing.

Infocard things included with the Core Box. They're kinda a retconned/streamlined take on the History Of Zoids/All About Battle Machine Beasts-type content from the old line, with new illustrations. It's Zi's history, Zoid "biology", that kinda thing.

Yep, all of the Graphics kits came with a magazine and they're all different (as they also contain the instructions for building that particular kit). You can see scans of at least some of them archived here.

oh very nice.
if i ever got corebox, probobly be one of the few things i would leave MIB, along with the KFB kits, the memorial kits, and the new and old helic and zenabas remodoling sets, if i had. those are just some things that i can think of off the top of my head. unlike the Zoids Graphics, which id rip open and build in a heartbeat, once agian, if i had.
"If i had" seems to play a big factor in the zoid world doesnt it?

The Core Box serves no purpose MISB. The books are meant to be read and enjoyed and so on :p.

Yep. The black Zoid was Silverman's ultimate creation...looked like a Garius from hell with spinny nipples, and came with a bonus wasp inside.

Wow tilly. I Read the black zoid comic. Ending was confusing. Did griff die, is krak a bad zoid or a good zoid, is there a sequal cause looks like Silverman lives and why does redhorn still hate blues if both factions are at peace?

Griff is alive but his brain's not in the best shape, Krark is...Krark, with his ambitions unfriendly but not evil, per se (mm, ambiguity), there is no sequel (it got Canceled D:), and the two factions aren't at peace. Krark's trying to get them to be as such so he can use them as a happy fun conquest army, but they aren't.

Wait so I'm still confused on way happens to griff. He goes into zilla, his mind is screwed alittle, gets his @$$kicked by Silverman, falls out of zilla, after that i'm lost in terms of what happens to him...
And why the he'll does Silverman not die?! He got the living **** beet outa him by griff's cycopathic dad (which lasted a good 5 mins -_-) why'd he loose it anyway?
